India made a confident start in the final T20 match at Thiruvananthapuram, with Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan forming a strong partnership in the middle overs. Kishan looked in excellent touch and quickly crossed the fifty-run mark, giving India solid momentum.
Earlier, Abhishek Sharma provided an aggressive beginning, scoring a quick 30 runs from just 16 deliveries before being dismissed by Lockie Ferguson in the fifth over. His opening partner Sanju Samson struggled once again, continuing his tough run of form as he managed only six runs before falling to Ferguson.
After winning the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav decided to bat first against New Zealand. Despite their loss in the previous match at Vizag, the Indian team remains confident as they head into their final international fixture before the upcoming T20 World Cup.
